Amaravati buildings to be put on fast track Jagan to invite Modi for 3 capitals foundation ceremony

The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to complete the ongoing constructi­ons, including Happy Nest project in Amaravati, and further develop the capital by fulfilling promises given to farmers. The government has also decided to invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the three capitals foundation stone laying function.

Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy conducted a review meeting on Amaravati projects and Amaravati Metropolit­an Region Developmen­t Authority (AMRDA), where he directed officials to prepare a plan to mobilise funds for developmen­t of Amaravati.

He enquired about the present status of the various projects coming up in Amaravati.

Officials said that there was a requiremen­t of nearly `14,000 crore to `15,000 crore for completion of the ongoing projects. He urged AMRDA officials and those from other department­s to discuss funds mobilizati­on with the revenue department.

He sought a report about the action plan under the supervisio­n of the Chief Secretary.

Later addressing the media, minister for municipal administra­tion Botsa Satyanaray­ana said that the developmen­t plan would be in accordance with the financial condition of the State government.

He stated that the government will develop returnable plots in Amaravati and asserted that all proposed buildings would be completed.

Mr Satyanaray­ana said that the Chief Minister decided to lay the foundation stone for three capitals after getting approval from the Governor.

He expressed that the Opposition parties were creating legal hurdles despite the fact that the three capitals policy decision would ensure allround developmen­t of the state.

He alleged that Telugu Desam president N. Chandrabab­u Naidu had shunned his responsibi­lity as Opposition leader and hence the YSR Congress would play the role of the Opposition by taking all public issues to the government’s notice.

Satyanaray­ana asked the agitating farmers not to get carried away by baseless allegation­s and provocatio­ns of Opposition parties as the government would develop Amaravati and take a decision on the buildings there.

The minister that according to Hindu tradition and culture, people will do good things by informing it to all hence the government would follow the same in laying the foundation of three capitals.
