NABARD CHIEF GETS RURAL WELFARE AWARD
The recently announced Gramodaya Bandhu Mitra Puraskar instituted by Gramodaya Chamber of Commerce and Technology (GCOT) was presented to Dr Govinda Rajulu Chintala, chairman, National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard).
The award was presented by Dr V. Praveen Rao, Vice Chancellor of the Prof Jayashankar Telangana State Agriculture University. The award was conferred on Dr Rajulu in recognition of his contribution to the betterment of the rural economy in India.
Delhi Vasanth, founder and CEO of GCOT, said the yeoman service rendered by Dr Rajulu for growth of the rural economy and his various initiatives led to improvement in living standards of the people.
GCOT is a not-for-profit social enterprise, founded by the alumni of Osmania University as part of the university’s centenary celebrations in 2017 with the goal of improving the lives of people in rural areas.
