Covid-19 pandemic, treatment being provided to Coronavirus positive patients and the fire mishap at Srisailam Left Bank Power House.

Chief Minister K. Chand

● The Legislature will discuss issues related to Covid-19 pandemic, expansion of medical services, crop loss due to heavy rains, New Revenue Act, regulated farming, and P.V. Narasimha Rao Centenary Celebrations.

rasekhar Rao held a meeting with ministers and whips at Pragathi Bhavan on Thursday to discuss the strategy of the ruling party in the ensuing session.

He asked legislative affairs minister V. Prashanth Reddy to place before the Business Advisory Committee (BAC), issues related to Covid-19 pandemic, expansion of medical services in the state, crop loss due to heavy rains, New Revenue Act, regulated farming, and the P.V. Narasimha Rao Centenary Celebrations.

The CM asked ministers to ensure that the illegal construction of Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation Scheme by AP government and issues related to other irrigation matters are placed before the House during the session.

He stressed on the need for discussing in the House the injustice being meted out to Telangana while implementing GST and the economic loss being caused to the state due to financial policies of the Central government.

The meeting decided that the House should discuss the Centre’s lukewarm response to resolutions passed by the state on reservations for SC, STs and Muslims.

The Chief Minister said the government is ready to discuss threadbare all issues pertaining to people in the forthcoming legislative session and all the issues raised by opposition parties, as there is no better platform other than the Legislature to discuss matters related to people and take appropriate action.

The Chief Minister instructed ministers to prepare themselves and place all facts in the House.

He said, “We have to utilise the Assembly platform to ensure that Telangana Legislature stands as an ideal one and inspires others in the country. Members should highlight how various programmes of the government are being implemented by the government at the field level.”

“The government is ever ready to answer any question, provide clarification and implement suggestions, which are practical. The member’s views should reflect the facts and ground realities,” he stated.
