“Secretariat mosques had been notified under the Gazette of Andhra

Pradesh on 01-07-1982 at

Sl. No.158.

Thereby, the Telangana State Wakf Board represented by its chairman Mohammed Saleem is custodian of these mosques. Therefore, the board chairman and other members are collectively responsible for demolition of mosques. This amounts to criminal negligence, criminal conspiracy, hurting religious feelings and inciting communal hatred and violence against Muslim community,”

Abdullah Sohail said in the complaint lodged with police.

He underlined that demolition of mosques and temple violates the Places of Worship Act. He pointed out that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao had issued a statement on 10-07-2020 confirming demolition of the places of worship and assuring that they would be reconstructed. But he did not specify where the two mosques and temple would be re-constructed.
