PC gets busy

Though not on the Bollywood radar, Priyanka’s plate is full with OTT projects lined up

-

Priyanka Chopra-Jonas (PCJ) seems to be one of the busiest actresses at the moment although not necessarily in Bollywood. The actress has a packed slate when it comes to her films in Hollywood, all of which is keeping her extremely busy.

According to one of our sources, “In September last year, she had signed on for a film for an OTT major, called The White Tiger, which is directed by Ramin Bahrani. The film also features Rajkummar Rao, playing the role of a tea shop owner in a small village, who becomes a successful entrepreneur in the city.” Ramin, incidentally, is an American-born Iranian director who had directed Fahrenheit 451 and 99 Homes.

The above source also reveals that PCJ will also be seen in the Netflix action fantasy feature We Can Be Heroes, written, directed and produced by Robert Rodriguez. The show is slated to be released next year. In October, then, the Saath Khoon Maaf actress will start filming for the big-budget film franchise Matrix 4. Apparently, the shooting for the film has already begun and

PCJ is expected to join the shooting soon.

Priyanka’s next big project will be

Citadel with Richard Madden in the Anthony and Joe Russo series for Amazon Studios, which is being developed as an Indian–Italian series. According to our source, the Indian series will be developed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K., who had earlier worked on Family Man. The show Citadel is to be shot in Europe.

“While Priyanka is also slated to work on a project on Ma Sheela, there is no other news of her working in Bollywood anytime soon,” the source confirms.

In the midst of all these activity, the actress has supposedly just finished working on her book called Unfinished, an autobiography of her life and times. The book is expected to be published by Penguin.
