TTD launches site to solve virus woes

- DC CORRESPONDENT

The Telugu Desam has started a website, www.apfightscorona.com, to gather information on the people’s problems due to Covid-19 and seek to resolve them.

TD chief N. Chandrababu Naidu said that though Unlock 4.0 has begun, the number of Covid-19 cases in AP continues to increase rapidly. He said that TD wants to ensure that no AP citizen suffers from the ill-effects of the virus and had started the website to raise problems on the platform.

The public who lost work opportunities, need medicines and who require ambulance services may look up and seek help from this website, said Naidu, claiming that the need for this forum was felt even more because of the failure of the government in resolving the grievances of the people which became clear if one followed the latest Covid-19 reports.

Terming it alarming that Coronavirus cases crossed the seven-lakh mark in Andhra Pradesh, Naidu deplored the fact that infections reached one lakh in East Godavari district and young people were succumbing to the virus.

He stated that according to an Oxford University report, poor families in AP were struggling for even daily food grains for their survival and it was revealed that 99 per cent of families covered under the midday meal scheme could not get groceries enough for a single meal a day.

Citizens can share their experiences, requirements and problems arising out of the infections in their families on the website, said Naidu and this will serve as a forum for getting help from volunteers.
