VIJAYASHANTHI CALLS TRS, MIM AS SIAMESE TWINS

- DC CORRESPONDENT

Actor-turned-politician Vijayashanti on Sunday termed the TRS and the MIM as Siamese twins and said that the MIM’s ‘threat’ of dethroning the TRS government was part of the ‘match fixing’ between the two parties.

She asked if the MIM was trying to dethrone the TRS government by triggering communal violence as it had only seven MLAs in the Assembly which was insufficient. In a press statement, she alleged that the TRS and MIM had conspired to defeat the RJD-Congress alliance in the Bihar elections so that it will appear to the minorities that the Congress will not come in power at the Centre in the future.

Vijayashanti alleged that both the parties had tried to encash such situations and establish a grip on various states. There was a feeling in political circles that the TRS had funded the MIM to defeat the RJD-Congress alliance.

She said that after the Bihar election results there was talk in political circles that the MIM and TRS were facing a threat of minorities distancing themselves from the combo.

To convince the minorities, Vijayashanti alleged, MIM president Asaduddin Owaisi and TRS boss and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao had prepared a plan. As part of this, the CM was issuing statements against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and promising to meet leaders of non-BJP parties to form an anti-BJP platform.

It is worth mentioning here that the ground is set for Vijayashanthi to leave the Congress and join the BJP. Sources close to her disclosed that Vijayashanthi was waiting for a call from Union home minister Amit Shah to join the party. She would likely join the BJP in the next couple of days.
