When Naga Shaurya first heard the script of his forthcoming film Lakshya, a film based on archery, he could apparently instantly connect to it. Being a former national-level tennis player, Shaurya could relate to the journey of the story’s protagonist, who a sportsman. As he is all set to train for archery classes, the film’s director Santhossh Jagarlapudi tells us, “Shaurya is pretty charged up for the role.” The director also informs us that former archery players are set to train the actor.

“Shaurya wanted to get close to being natural and authentic. So our producers Narayan Das Narang and Sharrath Marar supported the decision to bring in former national archery players so that the actor can pick up the nuances of the sport,”

According to the director, his forthcoming bilingual (Telugu and Hindi) film, Unlimited, will be a tad different from the many Tollywood films on women empowerment.

Starring Ahsan Sharif and Ayesha Kapoor, the breezy entertainer, says the director, has more than what meets the eye. “Just as Ardhanareshwar, which symbolises Shakthi, the female deity of power, as inseparable from Shiva, the male deity of power, this film hopes to showcase how women are equally empowered and enjoy equal status in the society,” explains the director. Vikram goes on to tell us that the film is a love explains Santhossh.

And we are told that from holding the arrow, his stance and posture to understanding about the nock and bow-hand, Shaurya is all acing it all up. “As we shoot in January, Shaurya wants to be fresh for it and is continuing his practise. His energy is infectious,” says the director, signing off. story with a media backdrop as he shares with us a little about the film.

“We have woven a beautiful love story while addressing women’s issues and what true women empowerment is all about,” says the director.

“The protagonist, who works for a women’s magazine, embarks on a journey to search for and honour twenty-five of the best women of the year,” he states. During this journey, adds the director, the protagonist discovers actual women and understands the real and fake problems they’ve been putting up with.

Justifying the title Unlimited, the director says, “Unlimited means more freedom; it is dangerous and has become a burning issue,” says Vikram who is also producing the film. Adding that the bilingual was shot in Hyderabad and Lucknow he tells us that the team has completed 80-90 per cent of the shooting and the film’s next schedule

will start in Dubai.
