DEC 7: Two engineerin­g students who can 1 kilo of ganja concealed in their backpack, died in a road accident in Dundigal when the bike they were travelling in crashed into a divider.

DEC 2: The Excise Enforcemen­t officials seized 56 blots of LSD and 236 grams of hashish oil from three techies in the Tarnaka area.

NOV 27: A Btech dropout who was selling marijuana oil to buyers through online delivery applicatio­ns was apprehende­d by the Special Operations Team of Malkajgiri. Officials seized 2 liters of marijuana oil, also known as liquid hashish, along with other contraband­s from his possession.

NOV 27: A 20 year old was arrested by the Excise Enforcemen­t team of Hyderabad in possession of ecstasy pills and MDMA from Bowenpally.

NOV 24: A 32 year old Ghana national in possession of cocaine was arrested within a fortnight after his bail by the Prohibitio­n and Excise department.

NOV 24: The District Task Force team, along with the Uppal police, arrested two men and seized four kilos of Alprazolam drug along with other chemicals at Nacharam.

NOV 22: Three Yemen nationals were arrested in possession of 30 grams of MDMA and 1.1 kilos of marijuana among other contraband by the Excise District Task Force officials.

NOV 20: A techie, a former employee of Facebook and a MSc graduate from Canada, turned peddler was caught in possession of 1.2 kilos of marijuana and 830 grams of hashish oil by the Excise Enforcemen­t team.

NOV 19: Three men were caught by the North Zone Task Force team, who seized 200 grams of Mephedrone (MD) worth Rs 10 lakh from their possession.

NOV 17: The North Zone Task Force police nabbed two men, an alleged drug supplier from Goa and a manager of a pub from Hyderabad, who were in possession of 200 grams of MDMA and seized the contraband from their possession.

NOV 4: A toddy shop owner from Tandur was arrested by the Vikarabad police for selling the product laced with marijuana to the customers. ● The drugs are purchased from various sources and are posted on social media platforms.

● The rates are given out openly in the photo caption with hashtags like #cannabis #peace.

● Post is picked up by prospectiv­e buyers who either comments or mostly message the seller personally.

● Sellers accepts payment through merchant apps like Paytm or Google Pay or cash and promises ‘nodal point’ delivery to the buyer, irrespecti­ve of age.
