B. Varun Shanker and N. Bhavitha emerged winners in the Junior boys and girls sections respectively at the 7th Telangana State District & State Table Tennis Championship held at Anandnagar Welfare and Sports Association in Khairatabad, Hyderabad, on Tuesday.
Both players put on dominating shows in the Superleague to capture trophies.

Kesavan Kannan, Arush Reddy and Jatin Dev finished second, third and fourth among boys while K. Ikshitha (AWA), H. S. Nikhitha (VPG) and Mercy P (HVS) took the second, third and fourth spots in the girls section.
Meanwhile, the Telangana State Table Tennis Association has announced that the Youth Boys and Girls and Men and Women events slated to be held from December 9 to 12 at Mahaveer Institute of Science and Technology in Bandlaguda, Hyderabad, have been cancelled due to unavoidable circumstances. The same will be conducted from December 13 to 16 at Anand Nagar Welfare and Sports Association in Khairatabad, the TSTTA stated in a press release.
