PCC dharna against farm bills today

- DC CORRESPONDENT

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, the Nalgonda MP, condemned the state government’s repeated violation of protocol by way of ignoring elected representatives of the Congress at official events.

Reddy was speaking to the media after visiting Mattapalli bridge in Huzurnagar Assembly constituency. He said that the government had delayed the inauguration of a bridge connecting Mattapalli in Suryapet district with Tangedu village in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh by not

laying approach roads just to deprive the Congress of credit. its construction.

When the bridge was inaugurated recently, the TPCC chief said, the state

government did not extend him a proper invitation although it falls in his Lok Sabha constituency. He said that he would lodge a complaint with

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla against the state government for violation of protocol.

He charged that the government had only painted old and existing reservoirs and pipelines to show them as new constructions under Mission Bhagiratha. TRS leaders simply inaugurated the power projects started during Congress regimes and made false claims of resolving the energy crisis.

He informed that the Congress would stage a dharna before all collectorates on Monday, demanding withdrawal of Centre’s farm bills and the State government’s decision to do away with IKP and procurement centres.
