Pay salaries or face revolt: Bandi to pvt. colleges
BJP state president and MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Monday slammed corporate colleges for not paying salaries to faculty members.
A delegation of private colleges’ lecturers and teachers met him and brought to his notice the problems they were facing from college managements.
Stating that they were in a financial crisis, he warned of intensified agitation against all such educational institutions. BJP would stand by teachers and lecturers and fight for their issues, he asserted.
Sanjay Kumar charged that several corporate colleges were running without permission from the government. If BJP is provoked further, then the party would expose all such irregularities and agitate till the institutions are ordered closed.
Meanwhile, he urged the aggrieved lecturers not to commit suicide but fight the injustice collectively. He reminded that BJP leaders, including district presidents, have gone to jail while fighting for the people and their rights.
Stating that the fight for justice would continue, the Karimnagar MP said corporate colleges cannot buy BJP leaders like they do with those from other parties.
He called upon all faculty members to teach a lesson to TRS in the coming MLC elections.
Bandi Sanjay alleged that illegal cases were being filed against tribals in Huzurangar constituency. Pointing out that they had organised Sant Sewalal Jayanti in the party office, he alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao had failed to allot three acres of land for dalits and had defaulted on the 10 per cent reservation to them.
He regretted that the state government had not allotted lands to tribals in Gurrampodu despite orders from the High Court.
