- DC CORRESPONDENT HYDERABAD, FEB 25

There are 107 new cases in Telangana according to the data updated by the central ministry of health and family welfare on February 25. With no classification it is not clear which districts are recording more cases. With 213 new cases recorded on February 24, the load of patients in Gandhi Hospital saw a rise.

There were 107 new Covid-19 cases in Telangana on Thursday, according to data updated by the central ministry of health and family welfare. It was not clear which districts recorded more cases.

A health official said, “Sample testing from across different districts has increased from Monday. Many people are coming to the centres for testing even as they were suffering from seasonal flu. Many of them were scared.”

With 213 new cases recorded on Wednesday, the case load at Gandhi Hospital saw a rise. A doctor said, “Some 36 people came with positive reports. As they were mild cases, all of them are not admitted. Cases are being seen but they are mild only.”

Similarly, in Osmania General Hospital, suspected cases are being isolated. In private hospitals too, there is a slight rise in Covid patients. Dr Ashish Chauhan, general physician and internal medicine specialist said there was no cause for panic.

“We are now having online consultations and those who are testing positive with mild symptoms are offered home treatment. Apart from Covid19, other diseases like diabetes and hypertension must not be neglected. Many are neglecting the existing disease conditions and this is resulting in complications,” he said.
