Koushik punches big, whacks double century

A. Sai Koushik stole thunder as T. Rohan, T. Harish Singh, Abhishek Murugan, Rohit Reddy, V. K. Siddharth, A. Takshith Rao, S. Vikranth and Geeta Krishna hogged Tuesday’s limelight in the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s A-1 Division three-day league matches.
Sri Chakra’s Koushik slammed a sensational double ton (209) which was brilliantly complemented by a century by Rohan (143) to pile a colossal score of 423 against Jai Bhagwathi on the first day of their game.
Secunderabad Nawabs’ Harish (148) and Takshith (106) played handsomely to leave Charminar in shambles as they forged a huge score of 472 in their first innings.
In another match, Sportive CC rode on Abhishek’s incredible ton (132) as they posted 418 runs on Day One against Khalsa.
Rohit XI’s Rohit (118) and Siddharth
(111) kept Mahmood’s bowlers in check and help their side amass 428 on the first day.
Later, Vikranth (106) also scored a century as Apex CC posted 199. In reply, Balaaji CC have scored 123 for one on Day One.
Meanwhile in A-2 division two-day league matches, Mahbubnagar’s Harshavardhan (174), Aaron George
(159) of Kishoresons, Brothers XI’s Likith (149) and Sunshine CC’s Mir Waseem Ali (138) slammed brilliant centuries for their sides.
Sri Shyam’s Sai Kiran scalped a stunning 7 for 35 against MCC while Vijay CC’s Sudhir (6/28) and Eklavya’s
Khush Agarwal (6/53) were the pick of the bowlers in their respective matches.
Aditya Javvaji (118) of Deccan Wanderers, Galaxy CC’s S. K. Baji (104), Abhay Swaroop (5/21) of Deccan Blues, Chandrakanth (5/35) of Aggarwal Sr, Yashaswi Yeles (5/51) of Oxford Blues and Sainath Chary (5/58) of Hyderabad Wanderers also performed well.
