Why are 1.9 lakh vacancies not filled, Dasoju asks KTR

- DC CORRESPONDENT HYDERABAD, MARCH 3 ON THE ITIR project, Dr Dasoju asked the BJP and the TRS to “stop writing love letters”

Congress spokesperson Sravan Dasoju on Wednesday claimed that the lawyer couple Gattu Vaman Rao and his wife P.V. Nagamani were murdered after the state government had received a setback in a special leave petition that it had filed against the lawyer in the Supreme Court.

On other issues, Dr Dasoju asked TRS working president and minister K.T. Rama Rao why the government had not filled the 1.9 lakh job vacancies and regularised the services of one lakh contract employees. He asked Rama Rao to visit the universities to see the sense of desperation among students.

The AICC leader reiterated that only the Congress had regularly recruited for government jobs. “Y.S. Rajashekhar Reddy had given a jumbo notification through which 50,000 teachers were recruited. Kiran Kumar Reddy provided skill development and training for 5 lakh unemployed youth by spending over `770 crore,” he said.

Dr

Dasoju said personalities eminent like

S. Ramadorai who was then with TSC, G. Mallikarjun Rao of the GMR group, G.V. Krishna Reddy of the GVK Group, Rameshwar Rao of the MyHome group were roped in as advisers to this skilling programme later becoming role models for the country.

He said when the TS Public Service Commission itself was headless and had only 80 employees out of 300 required how can it be believed that the government would provide jobs. “Why have the vacancies gone up to

1.91 lakh from 1.07 lakh in 2014,” Dr Dasoju asked. Terming BJP state president Bandi Sanjay’s letter to minister K.T. Rama Rao on the ITIR project, Dr Dasoju asked the BJP and the TRS to “stop writing love letters” but to initiate the project with state funds following the detailed project report prepared by the then Congress government which requires

`13,000 crore but can create about 60 lakh direct and indirect jobs.
