Saina too missed the flaw in the poster

- — Sanskriti Media

Saina Nehwal posted the pic of the poster on her Twitter page without either catching the error or thinking it worth correcting it. Twitter users and followers had a field day, mocking the whole team, including Saina, for the gaff. “Why would you toss the shuttle to serve? Is this movie about Sania or Saina?” remarked a witty user.

“How did Saina approve of this poster?” remarked another.

In addition to the serve, regular followers of Saina’s game even commented on the wristband shown on the hand in the poster. A wristband, or sweatband as it is also called by players, is usually used by tennis players — not something badminton players use regularly as it is assumed to interfere with wrist movements considered essential in the game. Saina, for instance, has never worn those during her games, some of her followers stated too.

It can be recalled that recently, actress Richa Chadha also came in for flak for her poster of Madam Chief Minister. She had apologised for it although she passed the buck to the marketing guys.
