Hyderabad: The Director General of Defence Estates

(DGDE) on Wednesday wrote to the heads of 56 Cantonment boards asking them to nominate one member for those boards which do not have an elected body

or whose term has lapsed. This should be completed by

March 19. It might be recalled that the term of the elected representa­tives of

the Secunderab­ad Cantonment Board had ended on February 10.

The crime team of the Amberpet police recovered 58 mobile phones that were lost or misplaced at various places. The value of the phones was placed at `9.5 lakh. Among the 58 complainan­ts who had lost their cell phones, 10 came forward to claim property on Thursday in the presence of city police commission­er Anjanu Kumar. The remaining phones would be handed over to the Amberpet police station for their owners to claim them. Under the supervisio­n of Amberpet inspector B. Mohan Kumar, the team was led by additional inspector D. Bikshapath­i and G. Shivananda­m, deputy sub-inspector.
