KOHLI’S SECOND DUCK:

England’s right-arm fastmedium bowler, Ben Stokes dismissed Virat Kohli for duck in India’s first innings on the second day of the fourth and final Test match at

Ahmedabad on Friday.

It was second duck in the series for Indian skipper Virat Kohli.The first one was in the first innings of the second Test match at Chennai. It was second time when Virat Kohli received two ducks in a series. The first occasion when Indian skipper received two ducks in a series was also against England in the five Test series in England in 2014.

Virat Kohli also equalled Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s record of most ducks as Indian skipper by getting eighth duck in 98 innings of 50 Tests. Mahendra Singh Dhoni received same number of ducks in 96 innings of 60 Tests as skipper.

The 113-run stand between Rishabh Pant/Washington Sundar was the ninth seventh wicket century stand for India against England. Syed Kirmani and Ravi Shastri’s 235-run stand is the best for seventh wicket for India against England in Tests.

Rishabh Pant made his maiden century at home in eighth innings of sixth Test match by making 101 off 118 with 13 fours and two sixes. It was his third century in 33 innings of 20 Test matches.

Rishabh Pant also became the third Indian wicket-keeper to score three or more hundreds in Tests. Mahendra Singh Dhoni holds the record of scoring the highest number of hundreds as wicket-keeper. He scored six hundreds in 144 innings of 90 Tests. Wriddhiman Saha made three hundreds in 50 innings of 37 Tests.
