108-year-old in good health after Covid shot
A 108-year-old Gujja Venkatamma from Kachiguda was vaccinated at ENT Hospital at Koti.
Born in 1913, she was brought to the hospital by her youngest son Venkateshwar Rao.
Rao said, “she is fine after the vaccination. We are three members in our house and all of us have taken the vaccine.”
The lady was brought to the hospital on a about her arrival. None of the three reported any side-effects.
Senior citizens opting for the vaccine are high with 14,449 taking the jab on Tuesday. The total number of senior citizens vaccinated are 2,00,838.
First dose of the vaccine was given to 6,53,391 beneficiaries and the second to 1,64,351 persons. Healthcare workers who have got first and second dose are around 3,78,478 and total frontline workers being 1,65,026.
