Th e Jubilee Hills Society elections have been very entertaining for those watching on the sidelines. Filled with intrigue and manipulation — media houses, Tollywood stars and socialites campaigned for their candidates in the battle for controlling one of Hyderabad’s wealthiest neighborhoods. After a debacle that had several names missing from the voter list, a legal case that reinstated the rights for many of the 5,000 plot owners, Ravindranath Bollineni, the MD and Editor of TV5 turned up to be the eventual winner of the race and was elected President a few days ago. The change of guard has made those who were earlier in power pretty miffed… but that’s life.
AWnother entrepreneurial youngster being talked about these days is Paridhi Maheshwari. The Pharma heiress of Balaxi Pharmaceuticals fame is quite the art consultant, having done up her own home with some impressive pieces by Valay Shende, Satish Gujral and other noteworthy Indian artists. Extraordinarily driven and passionate, the 23-year-old lass even launched her own FMCG company called YAP and is now on her way to do her MBA from the London Business School. Kudos to her!
