CAR TURNS TURTLE AT ORR, MAN SURVIVES MISHAP

A man was injured in a road mishap and narrowly escaped a fatal accident when he lost control of the car he was driving on the Outer Ring Road at Kothwalgud­a in Shamshabad on Thursday. The car turned turtle following the mishap.

According to the police, the incident occurred around noon, when the car, driven by one Anand Mohan, was proceeding from Shamshabad towards KPHB.

“When the car reached near Kothwalgud­a on the ORR, Mohan is suspected to have lost control of the wheel and the car turned turtle. Due to the impact, the airbags were deployed, preventing major injuries,” police said. The Shamshabad police along with the Traffic Police rushed to the spot and shifted the car to the roadside to avoid a traffic jam.

“We have booked a case and are investigat­ing.

It is yet to be known if the driver was driving the vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Based on further investigat­ion, necessary action will be taken,” police said.
