SARPANCH DEATH NOT RELATED TO VACCINE: COPS

-

The death of a sarpanch after taking two doses of Covid-19 vaccine is notdue the medication, police officials said, adding that the post-mortem report will shed more light on the same. The death of Rajamoni Mayuri, the sarpanch, just two days after being vaccinated has caused panic in Lingamdana village of Keshampet mandal in Ranga Reddy district.

“Along with her, as many as 149 people were vaccinated. Rajamoni had low blood pressure along with hypertension and thyroid problems, which might have been the reasons for her death. The postmortem will reveal further on this,” police said, adding that nobody has lodged a complaint with them yet. Rajamoni Mayuri was vaccinated on April 12. She later suffered from fever and died on Wednesday night.

Following her death, her relatives held a protest and raised slogans demanding justice. They said that the state government must conduct an investigation into her death and come out with a report.
