COPS ARREST ABSCONDING MURDER ACCUSED

A murder case accused who reportedly absconded from a hospital in Odisha and fled to Telangana was held by the Hyderabad Police Task Force officials in the city on Thursday.

According to the police, the accused, Shaikh Hyder, 60, was a notorious fugitive who was under the Odisha police custody fled from the hospital he was undergoing treatment at following his arrest and took off in a car from Bhubaneswa­r last week.

The Hyderabad city Commission­er’s task force officials, who offered to help the Odisha police have made efforts and nabbed the man on Thursday. “He was arrested for the murder of Rashmi Mohapatra in Odisha and had abducted a marble trader and demanded `2 crore from his family,” said the police.

Hyderabad city police commission­er Anjani Kumar has informed the Bhubaneswa­r city police commission­er and Odisha police DG about the successful operation following his apprehensi­on. ''
