TS URDU ACADEMY EMPTIED AS STAFF TESTS POSITIVE
The Haj House, where different institutions of the minorities welfare department are housed, is under the grip of Covid-19.
After the Wakf Board, one employee of the TS Urdu Academy tested Covid positive, while the report of another person is awaited. The Academy was emptied on Friday and sanitised.
Academy secretary Dr Mohammed Ghouse said one employee who was on duty developed the symptoms of Coronavirus on Thursday he was advised to leave the Academy and approach the doctor.
He said after the developments, we sanitised the Academy’s portion in the building and employees were advised to take precautions and avoid unnecessary mingling with the strangers. He appealed to the visitors to strictly follow the Covid norms.Wakf Board chairman Mohammed Saleem reviewed the situation and issued instructions to the security staff to restrict the general public from entering the Haj House without the mask. He also directed to sanitise the masjid after every prayer.
He said instructions were given to ensure smooth delivery of marriage/khula/religious certificates. He appealed to the heads of all institutions functioning from Haj House to shift their inward section in the ground floor to receive applications and grievances from the general public.
