TS URDU ACADEMY EMPTIED AS STAFF TESTS POSITIVE

The Haj House, where different institutio­ns of the minorities welfare department are housed, is under the grip of Covid-19.

After the Wakf Board, one employee of the TS Urdu Academy tested Covid positive, while the report of another person is awaited. The Academy was emptied on Friday and sanitised.

Academy secretary Dr Mohammed Ghouse said one employee who was on duty developed the symptoms of Coronaviru­s on Thursday he was advised to leave the Academy and approach the doctor.

He said after the developmen­ts, we sanitised the Academy’s portion in the building and employees were advised to take precaution­s and avoid unnecessar­y mingling with the strangers. He appealed to the visitors to strictly follow the Covid norms.Wakf Board chairman Mohammed Saleem reviewed the situation and issued instructio­ns to the security staff to restrict the general public from entering the Haj House without the mask. He also directed to sanitise the masjid after every prayer.

He said instructio­ns were given to ensure smooth delivery of marriage/khula/religious certificat­es. He appealed to the heads of all institutio­ns functionin­g from Haj House to shift their inward section in the ground floor to receive applicatio­ns and grievances from the general public.
