BJP rushes leaders to Warangal, Khammam
To work on poll strategy to expose TRS ‘failures’
The BJP is focusing its fight against the TRS in the forthcoming civic body elections to two corporations and a municipality. The party is rushing leaders to Greater Warangal and Khammam corporations and Siddipet municipality to work on poll strategy and “expose” the TRS government’s “failures.”
The party is eyeing a big victory in
Warangal, so that with a majority seats in its kitty so that its leader can be the next mayor.
Incidentally, the BJP does not have a single corporator in Warangal and Khammam. In Siddipet, of the two councillors one joined the TRS while the other has been made district party president.
Dubbak MLA M. Raghunandan Rao will oversee electioneering in Siddipet while former MP A.P. Jithender Reddy and former legislator
Chintala Ramachandra Reddy are being rushed to Khammam.
Party leaders are confident that the BJP can not only give a tough fight to the TRS but also bag a majority of seats in all three civic bodies. BJP leaders will focus on the “failures” of the government in handling the floods, neglect of local issues and grabbing of nalas.
BJP state president Bandi Sanjay stated that the TRS was always biased against Warangal and Khammam and did not give compensation to flood-affected victims in Warangal.
Sanjay said that the anti-incumbency factor will work against the ruling party, whose leaders are facing several allegations like landgrabbing and diversion of funds meant for urban bodies.
Raghunandhan Rao stated that the fight in Siddipet municipality will be between TRS cash politics and BJP clean image.
