SBI DONATES 15 OXYGEN CONCENTRATORS
The State Bank of India, as part of its Covid-19 relief operations, has donated 15 oxygen concentrators for use in Narayanpet, Vikarabad, and Jogulamba Gadwal districts. SBI, Hyderabad Circle chief general manager Om Prakash Mishra said that as part of its Covid relief operations, the bank, after the outbreak of the pandemic last year, had arranged the supply of medical equipment including ventilators, multi-patient monitors, ECG machines, 2D Echo, digital pulse oxymeters, in addition to 8,000 PPE kits, food relief, and dry ration kits, all worth `2 crore.
He said this year too SBI had identified urgent needs for life-saving healthcare equipment, enhancing oxygen support, PPE kits, masks, dry rations, food packets/meals. The bank had also identified NGOs and would support them in setting up of makeshift hospitals/Covid care centres.
The video conference where the donations were announced, was attended by Hari Chandana, and Pausumi Basu, collectors of Narayanpet and Vikarabad districts, and Chandu Naik, the district medical and health officer from Jogulamba Gadwal.
