TRAINS FROM SEC’BAD CANCELLED DUE TO CYCLONE

With Cyclone Tauktae gathering strength and moving over the Arabian Sea towards Gujarat to make landfall on May 18, South Central Railway has announced cancellati­on of the RajkotSecu­n der a bad train on May 17 and the return train on May 18.

Similarly, SCR said it was cancelling the May

18 P or band ar Sec under a bad and the May 19 Sec under a bad P or band art rain son account of the cylone.

It said that it was cancelling the Okha-Puri, and the Puri-Okha Express trains on May 16 and May 19 respective­ly. These trains stop at several towns and cities in Telangana state and Andhra Pradesh – Sirpur Kagaznagar, Mancherial, Ramagundam, Warangal, Vijayawada, E lu ru, Raj am a hen dr a var am, Samalkot, Anakapalle, Visakhapat­nam, Vizianagar­am, Srikakulam Road, and Palasa.

SCR also announced partial cancellati­on of the Rameshwara­m-Okha Express. saying the train that left Rameshwara­m on May 14 will terminate at Ahmedabad. On its return journey on May

18, the train will start from Ahmedabad instead of from Okha. This train passes through Nizamabad, Kacheguda, Mahbubnaga­r, Kurnool, Dhone, Yerraguntl­a, Kadapa, Tirupati, in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states.
