TD for issue-based support to Centre
IN THE past, it opposed the three farm laws enacted by the Central government as they were not in farmers’ interests.
The Telugu Desam passed a political resolution at its Mahanadu conclave in virtual mode on Friday to extend issue-based support to the central government in the best interests of the nation and people.
The TD said that as a national political party, it was conscious of its responsibility to think about the problems of people all over the country. It would extend support to the Centre on any issue benefiting the public. In the past, it opposed the three farm laws enacted by the Central government as they were not in farmers’ interests.
On the concluding of the two-day annual meet, the TD also decided to adopt an intelligent strategy to make coordinated and cooperative efforts with like-minded opposition parties in

Andhra Pradesh. This would be aimed at effectively taking forward the ‘ ongoing struggle against the atrocious and ruinous policies of the Jagan Mohan Reddy regime. It also resolved to adopt an aggressive policy to counter the disruptive governance by the YSRC.
Over 17 resolutions were passed at the two-day Mahanadu on a number of peoples issues. Nine of these resolutions pertained to Andhra Pradesh and another five to Telangana. Three resolutions pertain to both the states. A total of 63 leaders spoke on the resolutions.
