Thunderstorms likely over TS: IMD

The weekend could be quite stormy over Telangana state, the Indian Meteorological Department said on Friday.

In its weather bulletin issued on Friday, the IMD-Hyderabad said that isolated places in all the 33 districts of the state were likely ● LIGHT TO moderate rain or thunder showers are very likely to occur at isolated places in the state during till June 1, the IMDHyderabad said in its forecast.

to experience thunderstorms, accompanied with lightning and gusty winds on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.

Wind gusts could reach speeds of up to 30 or 40 kmph, the IMD said. Light to moderate rain or thunder showers were also very likely to occur at isolated places in the state during till June 1.

The weather station said that conditions are likely to become favourable for the onset of the monsoon over Kerala around May 31.
