Tarot, an excellent tool for decision-making

-

“Divination is the quest to understand more about the past, present, and future. In other words, Tarot readings are an

attempt to understand ourselves better and discover

how we might live better in the future.”

— Theresa FrancisCheung, author, Teen Tarot: What the Cards Reveal about You and

Your Future

Ihave been practicing Tarot for over sixteen years. I’ve understood that though most people get a Tarot reading to know about the future, it is an excellent tool to make decisions. Many Tarot readings are prompted by being faced with difficult decisions, one in which your mind and your heart are conflicted and are running in opposite directions. It could be a question as mundane as “Should I buy this expensive designer dress worth `50,000?” Or a life-changing decision such as “Should I move to Australia or stay in India?” Many opportunities in life may require a bit of cogitation. Using the power of Tarot for decision-making can be extremely helpful. For instance, one of my clients, let’s call him Adam, once approached me to use Tarot to analyse his career. I quickly laid out a “Decision-Maker” spread for him. Tarot gave clarity about his career.

When he approached me, Adam had just been offered a new job and he thought that it was wonderful opportunity, perhaps something he had dreamed of doing for a long time. However, the cards indicated some gut reservations. There was something about the offer that Adam wasn’t fully on board with. Maybe he didn’t trust the person offering it or the company seemed shady.

It’s important for one to listen to your intuition, so this was vital information from Adam. What Adam wanted was long-term financial security and stability. The offer was quite lucrative and the potential remuneration may have tempted Adam’s mind to ignore what his intuitions were warning him about.

When I asked the cards what Adam should do, the cards clearly indicated that he should not act on this immediately and instead should take some time out to think carefully and consider all aspects of the offer and situation. In this instance, the action advice was inaction — don’t jump on this opportunity promptly; the correct decision will be visible in a short span of time.

Here’s wishing that you too consider using the power of Tarot not only to know about your future, but also as a tool to live your best life, by writing your own destiny and making momentous life choices.
