The Duchess of Cambridge recently left onlookers shocked after being spotted in a store at King’s Road in London. She had her two elder kids — Prince George, 7, and Princess Charlotte, 5 — accompanying her. According to an article in the digital platform of The Sun, the kids bought something from the store for themselves, for which they paid using their pocket money.

Alexa, an employee at the store that the duchess visited, tweeted about Kate being in one of her stores on the Kings Road with her kids. In one part of her tweet, she wrote, “I wasn’t there but she talked to my team, the kids had a budget that they stuck to and paid for their own things with their own money. Just normal well brought up children and a normal parent trying to do the right thing and that’s lovely! (sic)”

Kate appears like any other parent, trying hard to raise her children ‘normally’, with no special treatment. They are given pocket money and encouraged to save and are required to spend lots of time outdoors for their mental and physical well-being. She also ensured they had adequate time with Peppa Pig, with restriction on binging on the popular kids’ show.

Like others struggling to get parenting right, Kate also consults parenting books such as Positive Discipline: The First Three Years and The Happiest Toddler on the Block for tips on parenting despite the nannies she has to help raise her kids.
