Revanth alleges `1K-cr scam in auction of land

Says Congress will bring land scam to PM’s notice

-

Telangana Congress president Revanth Reddy, MP, has alleged irregularities of `1,000 crore in the auction of the Kokapet lands. Based on the market prices, the auction should have fetched `3,000 crore, but it only raked in `2,000 crore. This meant a loss of `1,000 to the state exchequer, he said.

The Congress leader said he would bring the “land scam” to the notice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and home minister Amit Shah, as also the CBI director.

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Monday, shortly after he was freed from house arrest, the Congress chief said the TRS party had strongly objected to the sale of government lands during the Congress rule. “Now, Chief Minister KCR and minister KTR have handed over government lands at Kokapet to their relatives and supporters at cheap rates.”

“If we raise our voice against the state government’s loot, they place us under house arrest”, he said.

“The Congress will fight against the TRS loot. I would raise the Kokapet land scam in Parliament during the current Monsoon Session itself”, he said, adding, “I will keep working towards getting this tender cancelled.”

Revanth Reddy alleged that Satyanarayana Reddy Manne who got

7.7 acres of land was related to TRS MP Manne Srinivas Reddy. Rajapushpa Properties that got land is related to Siddipet collector Venkatram Reddy. “Aqua space developers are linked to My Home group’s Jupally Rameswar Rao. Varsity education which got land is linked to one T Sridhar who, as per a 2018 affidavit of minister KTR, gave `7 crore of unsecured loan to his wife Shailima.”

“KTR is turning out to

be a financial terrorist to loot the Telangana state,” the Congress president alleged.

Revanth Reddy said the Congress party will come to power in 2023. “The ‘Soniamma Rajyam’ will give a respectful and democratic life to the people of Telangana.” He warned that CM KCR, minister KTR and officials supporting the “misdeeds” of the TRS government should all be ready to face the music.
