DALITA BANDHU IS PART OF KCR’S POLITICS: TPCC

- PULI SHARATH KUMAR | DC

Right from the formation of Telangana State, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has been using dalits as vote bank and is killing their self-respect with his fallacies, alleged Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) secretary, Medipally Satyam.

He was speaking at a meeting with top leaders of the party from Ellanthakunta mandal of Huzurabad constituency here on Sunday.

Satyam alleged that it was with an eye on the ensuing by-elections that Chandrasekhar Rao conceptualised the Dalit Bandhu scheme, although the intention is to deceive SCs and STs, once again. He recalled that Rao had the state's first Chief Minister would be a dalit. He changed tacks when TRS swept to power and he himself occupied the position, which exposes his double standards, he said adding that Rao failed to honour his promise of giving three acres of land.

When harassment and crimes against dalits are increasing by the day, the administration is doing nothing to prevent such incidents or to provide security to dalits.

The TRS government has not only diverted funds earmarked for the SC and ST sub-plan but also was not sanctioning SC Corporation loans to the eligible people, he lamented.

All the dalits should come on one platform and launch a united fight against the present day Nizam. They should come on-board the Congress party, which introduced several welfare schemes for the betterment of dalits and strove to uplift them.

Satyam said that the people must teach a befitting lesson to antipeople TRS and BJP by supporting the Congress candidate in the Huzurabad by-election, he said.

Party leaders G. Mahipal Reddy, Patti Krishna Reddy, Puli Anjaneyulu, Gaddam Jeevan Reddy, Peddi Kumar, Rama Rao and former sarpanch Narsaiah were also present.
