Cameras roll again for PS at Pondy
After a big break owing to the pandemic-induced lockdown, Mani Ratnam resumed shooting his magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan at Pondicherry recently.
The movie, being made in two parts, is the cinematic representation of the classic novel Ponniyin Selvan by the famous writer Kalki.
The film has an ensemble cast of Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, Karthi, Sarathkumar, Jayaram, Vikram Prabhu, Aishwarya Lekshmi and Aadhi among others.
Reportedly, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan essays the dual roles of Nandini and Queen Mandakini Devi in the film and Sarathkumar portrays a crucial
character. Both Aishwarya Rai and Sarathkumar are part of the present shooting schedule at Pondy.
Sarathkumar’s daughter, actress Varalaxmi, and her sister Pooja visited the sets to catch up with Aishwarya and her husband Abhishek Bachchan. Varalaxmi shared a few pictures on social media. She posted, “Met 3 of the warmest and most humble people last night. None other than the gorgeous @aishwaryaraibachchan_arb the handsome hunk @bachchan and their sweetest daughter #aaradhyabachchan.
