Kartik, Srivedya are champions
Kartik Jindal and Srivedya Gurazada emerged victorious in the Transform CABA Open conducted by Chetan Anand Badminton Academy at JSK-Chetan Anand Sports Centre here on Monday.
Kartik downed Anant Shivam Jindal 21-15, 20-22, 23-21 in a pulsating men’s singles final while
Srivedya saw off Shriyanshi Valishetty with a 21-16, 15-21, 21-16 scoreline in the women’s singles title round.
Meanwhile, pairs of T. H. Nagendra & D. Jashwanth, Kanderi Navya & S. Rakshitha Sree and Kartik Jindal & A. Abhilasha did very well in the men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles categories respectively.
Nagendra & Jashwanth combined to ease past Akhsan Shetty & Kush Chugh 21-17, 21-13 in men’s doubles final.
In women’s doubles title clash, Kanderi & Rakshitha eked out a hard fought victory against L. Sri Sai Sravya & Ridhi Kaur Toor. They won with a 21-19, 9-21, 22-20 scoreline.
Later in the mixed doubles, Kartik & Abhilasha’s synergy earned them a well deserved 22-20, 17-21, 21-19 win against Nitin Kumar & Riya Habbu in a close fought final that saw fortunes swinging wildly.
