Dandora event success bolsters Congress cadre

Congress leaders are enthusiast­ically coming forward to make arrangemen­ts for the dalit and girijan atmagourav­a dandora programme in their respective Assembly constituen­cies.

Following the success of the meetings at Indravelli in Adilabad district and Raviryala in Rangareddy district, the party cadre is in a jubilant mood.

Bolstered by the good response from party leaders and cadre, the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) has decided to conduct a 48-hour deeksha in Medchal on August 24 as part of the dandora.

THE ATMAGOURAV­A dandora programme will culminate on September 17 and the PCC has planned a series of meetings stretching up to 40 days covering all districts. leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and other senior leaders will participat­e in the deeksha.

After Revanth Reddy appointed his team, there is a newfound confidence among the party rank and file. The dandora programme is literally the foundation on which they are to launch initiative­s to strengthen their base in the 119 Assembly constituen­cies. Even MLA ticket aspirants with profession­al background­s are taking part in the programme. This includes aspirants from SC and ST communitie­s. The atmagourav­a dandora programme will culminate on September 17 and the PCC has planned a series of meetings stretching up to 40 days covering all districts. They all are eagerly awaiting Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Warangal district.

Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, a senior party leader, who wished not to be named, said that the change of guard in TPCC is showing a visible impact. People are paying attention to Revanth Reddy, who has exposed the misdeeds of TRS government on umpteen occasions, he opined. Some senior leaders have also realised that they should toe the TPCC chief ’s line for their own political growth, he said.
