KISHAN REDDY IS SPREADING LIES: JAGDISH
Energy minister G. Jagadish Reddy termed the Union tourism minister G Kishan Reddy’s ongoing ‘Jan Ashirwad Yatra’ in Telangana as a ‘cheating yatra’.
Addressing a press conference here on Friday along with MLAs Gadari Kishore and Bollam Mallaiah Yadav, Jagadish alleged that Kishan Reddy was trying to spread lies and cheat people of Telangana in the name of the yatra. He said that BJP leaders are accustomed to praising the Telangana government in Parliament and criticising them before the media. He said that Kishan Reddy should realise that the BJP-led governments at the Centre or in states cannot match the TRS government's development and welfare schemes. He dared Kishan Reddy to show at least one scheme being implemented by Centre at the national-level or in any BJP-ruled state that was superior to TRS government's schemes.
Referring to BJP leader M. Muralidhar Rao's comment on Talibans in Hyderabad, Jagadish said that such a presence amounts to failure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Centre to guard the borders. He said that the Union minister’s yatra proves yet again that BJP has mastered the art of spreading lies.
He asked the Union minister to show evidence on the state diverting Central funds.
“The Centre is not releasing funds that are due to Telangana through devolution of taxes.
Instead, BJP leaders keep claiming that the Centre was releasing large sums, which was being misused by the state government.
“We are ready with evidence but is Kishan Reddy ready to prove his claims? He should prove that the Centre is releasing more funds than what Telangana is eligible for as per the tax devolutions," he said.
