No bickering in MVA, govt to complete its term: Raut

- SONU SHRIVASTAVA | DC

A day after Uddhav Thackeray referred to BJP’s Raosaheb Danve as “future friend”, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Saturday said that the statement should not be construed as any bickering in the Maha Vikas Aghadi.

Mr Raut held a meeting with Mr Thackeray at the CM’s official residence.

Speaking after the meeting, Mr Raut said that the Maha Vikas Aghadi government will complete its five years term.

“It is not appropriate to reveal all the discussion with the CM. But there is no problem among the MVA constituents. The government will complete its full term without any hiccups,” Mr Raut said.

Calling Mr Thackeray’s statement as his own style of making speeches, the Shiv Sena leader said, “The chief minister had not said that we are going to form a new alliance and the MVA government would collapse. Mr. Thackeray has given a clear indication that those who wish to be a ‘future friend’ (read the BJP) are willing to have an alliance with us (the Sena).”

Reiterating that there are no fissures in the MVA, Mr Raut said that his party never backstabs anyone. “We have a commitment with the Congress and NCP, which will be kept. Those who got excited by the CM’s statement will have to hold on to their excitement for at least three more years,” he said.
