Inline hockey side concede 103 goals

The Indian inline hockey men’s team improved slightly to get

their goal count to two on Saturday but were pummelled

18-2 by Poland for their fifth straight embrassing defeat at

the Inline Hockey World Championsh­ips being played in

Roccaraso, Italy. Later in the evening, they lost

12-0 to Mexico. Besides Saturday’s slam, the

team has so far lost 20-0 to Namibia, 19-0 to Germany, 15-0

to Argentina and 19-1 against Latvia. They have conceded 103 goals in six matches so far —

goalkeeper Naval Pabbi of Chandigarh has let in 85 goals with Shailendra Singh of Andhra Pradesh failing to stop 16 shots.

The team has four players from Telangana — Aryan Karra, Chirag Pallepati, Sreeman Gonela and R. Siva
