Big B trolled for paan masala ad

But he replies politely saying it’s business, he gets money and many others too benefit

-

Even as Amitabh Bachchan joined Ranveer Singh to promote the new paan masala brand ad from Kamla Pasand, promoting silver cardamoms in surrogate advertising, his fans started trolling the legend. Amitabh, who is the face for many commercials, had earlier been taken to task by fans when he was last promoting a cola brand. In the latest case, the

actor received a post from his Facebook account in which Vijay Kalla, a user and top fan on his account, wrote in, first paying respects to the actor and then saying (as paraphrased), “Greeting, Sir. I’d like to ask just one thing — what do you do that Kamla Pasand paan masala ad for? Now what is the difference between you and these petty actors?”

Responding to the query, Amitabh wrote back a diplomatic response, saying (as paraphrased), “Sir, I

apologise, but if someone is doing well in any business, then one should not think that why are we associating with him? Yes, if there is a business, then we also have to think about our business. Now you feel that I should not have done this, but by doing this, yes I also get money. And there are many other people working in our industry who are employees and also get work and make money too. But the word ‘Tatpunjiya’ (petty) does not suit you and neither does it respect other artists of our industry. I greet you with respect.”
