All are welcome to BJP: Arvind

- DC CORRESPONDENT

Bharatiya Janata Party MP from Nizamabad D. Arvind on Sunday expressed his willingness to contest the next general elections to the state Assembly.

In an informal chat with media persons in his native town Nizamabad, the MP said it was for the party central leadership to decide on his future course of action. “I am ready to contest for the Assembly or Lok Sabha. The central leadership will decide,” he said. Maintaining that the BJP would contest the Assembly polls without any alliances, Arvind, however, predicted that there would be a truck between the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) and the Congress.

The BJP leader also revealed that several TRS elected representatives had been in touch with the BJP and wanted to switch over from the ruling party which he described as a sinking ship. “We welcome anyone joining our party but would not guarantee any positions,” he said, adding that he would not guarantee a seat to any leader joining the party through him. “You will soon see sensational political developments,” he added.

Arvind reiterated that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao rushed to New Delhi in connection with Enforcement Directorate notices. “He is for sure in trouble and his family may escape to foreign countries after the poll debacle,” he said, adding that the BJP was keen to expose the Kalvakuntla family’s corruption.
