PEOPLE SPEAK UP
Because the cantonment is close to us, we had the opportunity to grow up with kids from Army families. With them coming from all parts of India, we learnt about their culture and style. These areas have a lot of fresh air. What we need is public transport connectivity and more venues for cultural activities. — JUSTINA JAMES, student,

This area has more greenery, the colonies are well planned, people living close to the army quarters are well disciplined as they too like to follow such lives. But unfortunately, this place lacks public transportation, the Metro that starts from Secunderabad takes people into Hyderabad, but it really does not serve within Secunderabad itself. We also need more MMTS stops, auto stands and better bus services. — RAHUL KUMAR, Entrepreneur,
Resident of Yapral
Development has been stalled in Secunderabad for a decade. Several business and educational institutions are either dying down or have been forced to shift towards Hitec City. Jobless youths are deprived of opportunities due to lack of infrastructure. Lesser-known places are now witnessing rapid development because of political favouritism and business interests, but not Secunderabad.

People in Secunderabad are very welcoming, and we do not interfere in the lives of others. Also, this place has a strong sporting culture. People are open to ideas, ready to accept new trends. But this place needs development, there is no IT Hub, people who live here have to travel all the way to Madhapur or Gachibowli for their jobs. The government should develop such special zones here too.
