Will expose KCR-Modi nexus, says TPCC chief

- DC CORRESPONDENT

TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy on Friday announced that the Congress will take out a farmers' rally at Erravelli in Gajwel constituency on December 27 to highlight the crisis being faced by farmers.

Addressing a press conference, Revanth Reddy said that they had zeroed in on Erravelli as it falls in Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s constituency.

“The Congress will expose the nexus between KCR and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the CM's backyard. We will explain how the two have been cheating farmers from the beginning,” he said. Reiterating the allegations that TRS-BJP governments were enacting a drama of fake rivalry for political gains, the TPCC chief asked Chandrashekar Rao to explain why K.T. Rama Rao, Kavitha and Santosh Rao did not join the so-called fight against the BJP government. “Why were they not part of the delegations which visited Delhi on the issue of paddy farmers,” he asked.

He alleged that when farmers were dying due to non-procurement of their produce, Rama Rao and Santosh were holidaying outside the state.

Revanth Reddy said that the huge piles of paddy lying at farm yarns and markets were like “corpses in front of the farmers' houses.” Neither the CM nor Modi was showing interest in procuring paddy. He said that the TRS MPs first enacted the drama of stalling Parliament over the paddy issue. Later, at the behest of Modi, the CM directed the TRS MPs to return home, the TPCC chief alleged. He alleged that the TRS government must explain why paddy procurement targets were not achieved in Kharif.
