Students of class six studying in a private school in a Madhya Pradesh district were asked to write the name of the son of Bollywood star couple Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the General Knowledge paper.

The question was asked in the GK paper of the ongoing term exam of class six students of the Academic Height Public School in district headquarters of Khandwa. The question number two of section (B) (Current Affairs) of the exam paper asked, “Write the full name of the son of Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan”.

“The matter was brought to my notice on Friday. I have ordered a probe into it. I am going to issue a show cause notice to the school authorities seeking an explanation on the matter. I will recommend the district administration for action against the school authority after the probe”, Khandwa district education officer Sanjeev Kumar Bholerao told this newspaper.

“No such questions should be asked in the examination of school students that create unnecessary controversy”, he remarked.

The association of parents of the students of the school took cognizance of the matter and lodged a complaint with the school principal Mobarika Khan in this regard, a functionary of the association said.

“We have lodged a complaint with the school principal. We are waiting for action by the education department”, association president Dr Aneesh Arjhare told this newspaper.

Dr Arjhare said they have high regards for the star couple and their children. But, the question has absolutely no relevance for students of class six.
