BJP demands unconditio­nal release, withdrawal of cases against Bandi

DESCRIBING THE arrest of Sanjay as undemocrat­ic, legislator Etala Rajendar said that the state government will be buried deep down. He demanded the government to withdraw cases against Sanjay unconditio­nally.

Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashe­kar Rao was afraid of BJP and the state was in a stupor while government teachers and employees were suffering due to GO 317.

Addressing the media, he alleged that Rao was using police, who were acting like TRS agents. Criticisin­g the DGP Mahendar Reddy, Arvind said that Reddy was destroying the entire police system while selling himself to TRS rulers.

Meanwhile, BJP OBC morcha national president K. Laxman said foiling a peaceful protest was

unheard of and the action of Karimnagar police against Sanjay was undemocrat­ic.

Finding fault with Karimnagar police commission­er V Satyanaray­ana, who was acting at the behest of the chief minister, Etela said BJP will not be cowed down by police cases.

Dubbaka MLA Raghunanda­n took serious objection to police sending Sanjay to judicial remand and alleged that police were being biased against BJP leaders and cadre.

Raghunanda­n pointed out that no action would be taken in the Old City even when rallies are taken out with thousands of people participat­ing in them. Party leaders Vijaya Shanti and DK Aruna also spoke against victimisat­ion by the police.
