Seen hugging her husband and actor Vicky Kaushal recently at the Mumbai airport on the way to his shoot in Madhya Pradesh, Katrina Kaif is in a happy space. Professionally too her career is rocking. She has an interesting line-up of movies slated for the year. After the smashing success of her last outing Sooryavanshi, she has four releases coming up. She’s also in talks for multiple other films.
The Sriram-Raghavan directorial, Merry Christmas, starring Katrina Kaif opposite Vijay Sethupathi, will resume shooting when the situation gets back to normal. The thriller marks her maiden collaboration with both, Vijay Sethupathi and Sriram Raghavan. Katrina will also be seen in the supernatural-comedy space with the Mirzapur fame Gurmmeet-Singh directorial, Phone Bhoot. Produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment, the movie went on floors last year.

The actress will also be seen in her action avatar in Tiger 3 opposite Salman Khan. The Tiger franchise, headlined by the duo, has attracted huge fan-following and is directed by Maneesh Sharma.
Katrina’s biggie Jee Le Zaraa will see her bringing back the feel-good road trip movies to the screens starring alongside Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Alia Bhatt. “Katrina is also very excited about the film because for her it’s like a redux of one of her best films till date, Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara, which got her a chance to showcase a lot of her acting skills,” says a trade source. Katrina’s only grouse will be the lull over her two-part film with Ali Abbas Zafar, which has been billed as Super Soldier.
“While there’s no official announcement about it, Ali did indicate earlier that it’s taking time. The only good thing is that Katrina is now hearing a lot of fresh scripts at the moment and will be making an announcement soon,” adds the source.
Thankfully, like the other actresses of today — from Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Deepika Padukone to Aishwarya Rai — Katrina is continuing to work, after marriage.
