AICC Telangana incharge Manickam Tagore said that their Telangana unit had become a rolemodel for the party in digital membership drive having achieved a record membership of 33 lakh since the day the drive was launched. He said it was far superior to the Gujarat role model for BJP.

Manickam Tagore was speaking at a meeting of the drive’s coordinato­rs at Gandhi Bhavan, along with TPCC president A.

Revanth Reddy said that all details pertaining to the drive and its top achievers would be kept in TPCC and AICC data banks. The achievers would be duly recognised, Tagore said.

Reddy said that the 34 lakh membership was, thanks to a collective effort by leaders, cadre and the rank and file, who worked diligently as a team.

Meanwhile, the party will lodge complaints in all 709 police stations across the state against Assam Chief Minister Himanta Sarma for his objectiona­ble comments against Rahul Gandhi, he said.

Later, TPCC political affairs committee (PAC) convener Mohammad Ali Shabbir chaired a meeting of the committee at Gandhi Bhavan.
