TS budget likely to be `2.10 L cr

The upcoming state budget for 2022-23 could be around `2.10 lakh crore, down from `2,30,826 crore last year. While the government is confident that it can easily present the annual Budget with an outlay of `1.80 lakh crore for the coming financial year, it feels it is a matter of adding another `20,000 crore or `30,000 crore to bump it up past the `2 lakh crore mark, and is working out the possibilities for the same.

The Budget Session of the Telangana State Legislative Assembly could begin sometime around the end of this month and would require at least 10 to 12 working days, as per indications from the government on Sunday.
