CBI DETAINS THREE FOR DEROGATORY REMARKS AGAINST JUDGES, JUDICIARY
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials, who detained three persons including two advocates for making derogatory remarks on judges and judiciary, arrested the three and shifted them to Vijayawada for producing before the court.
The CBI officials registered several cases and FIRs against the accused allegedly involved in intentionally targeting judges and the judiciary through interviews, social media posts, speeches in online platforms, and maliciously attributing ulterior motives in delivery of orders and judgement.
Searches were conducted at 10 locations including office and residential premises of the accused in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, wherein incriminating evidences were recovered. The arrested persons were produced before the jurisdictional court in Guntur (Andhra Pradesh) and were remanded to judicial custody.
