Bandi slams TRS govt for ignoring education sector

- DC CORRESPONDENT

BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar has appealed to students failing their annual examinations not to take any extreme steps, and urged them to use the supplementary examinations. “Every student has a bright future, do not do anything to jeopardize it,” he said.

In a statement on Wednesday, Sanjay said he was distraught at the reports of some students of Intermediate, who failed their exams taking their lives. “The result in an exam is not the end of the world. Do not give into momentary feelings and destroy your lives and those of your parents. I urge you to realize that there are always many opportunities to succeed, starting with supplementary exams,” Sanjay said.

“Parents should not force children to believe that their performance in examinations is what determines who they are,” Sanjay said, adding “there are many who have risen in life and went on to become role models for everyone, and they too had to face failures. Teach your

children not to lose confidence and support them.”

One of the reasons why some students failed the Intermediate exams is the fact that the Telangana government did not recruit enough teachers in junior colleges and left thousands of posts of lecturers unfilled, he said. In many colleges, the teachers could not complete the syllabus for various subjects, and

where there were enough teachers, the results were 100%, he added.

Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao should at least now pay attention to the sad state of affairs in the education sector instead of merely focusing on politics and immediately ensure all posts of teachers and lecturers are filled in all schools and colleges in the state, he said.
